Infinity

Infinity. The symbology. How can an infinity symbol be distorted, transformed, reworked, and be infinite in itself?

For this project I drew an infinity symbol, plugged it into DALL-E's image generator, and watched how quickly the original symbol became transfigured.

This was an experiment in itself. I was curious what would happen.. Would DALL-E continue generating black and white infinity symbols with little differences and quirks as I collected and resubmitted the images again and again? Or, would DALL-E mutate the original?

As you can see below, the latter was the result.

Stitching together the infinity results (which could theoretically stretch, distort, and transfigure into infinity) I began to feel something spiritual occurring. The imagery felt like it was moving towards something. I began to think, with every new version of "infinity" that this is also infinity. It is without definition, boundless.

I am interested in using AI tools this way. To truly utilize their endlessness to see what we can discover; to see what is unseen within our schemas of the world.
